And when Moses asked for water for his people , We said : Smite with thy staff the rock . And there gushed out therefrom twelve springs ( so that ) each tribe knew their drinking place . Eat and drink of that which Allah hath provided , and do not act corruptly , making mischief in the earth . {Surah Baqara, Verse 60} |

It is narrated on the authority of Aswad b. Hilal that he heard Mu'adh say this: The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) called, me and I replied to him. He (the Holy Prophet) said: Do you know the right of Allah upon the people? and then followed the hadith (mentioned above). |
